Insulated Flasks for UK Beach Days
What's in the flasks collection
Around 34 flasks from the brands that do it properly. YETI Rambler bottles with the MagSlider lid, Chilly's Series 2 in the slimmer profile, Hydro Flask wide mouth in the bigger capacities, plus a handful of smaller independents. Sizes run from 350ml pocket flasks for a single coffee through to 1.2L day flasks that will see you through a full morning session and the drive back to Cardiff or Bristol. Vacuum-insulated stainless steel, so tea stays hot for 10-12 hours, cold drinks stay cold for nearly a full day.
How to choose the right size
350-500ml is right for a single hot drink on the way to the beach, or a school run flask. 750ml-1L is the sweet spot for a surf session, one decent mug of tea before you paddle out and another waiting when you come in. 1.2L and up is more camping and car boot territory. If you're buying for cold drinks in summer, go wide-mouth so you can fit ice cubes. Narrow-mouth pours cleaner for hot drinks.
Pairs well with
Flasks sit alongside the rest of the insulated cups and mugs range, including YETI Ramblers and keep cups. Worth a look through living for coastal homeware, and the gifts section if you're buying for someone who spends their weekends in a carpark drinking tea in a wetsuit.
Pick up in store at Rest Bay
The shop is on Well Street in Porthcawl, five minutes from Rest Bay. Handy if you want to compare a Chilly's against a YETI in person before committing, or grab a flask on the way down to the beach.
