Why Indys last
Independent launched in 1978 and has barely had to change the formula. The Stage 11 geometry turns properly, grinds cleanly and holds up to years of abuse. Hangers are solid cast aluminium, bushings have a proper rebound, and the kingpin sits low enough to keep nose and tail grinds smooth. If you've ever had a cheap truck snap mid-session, you'll understand why people pay the extra.
Standard, Hollow or Forged Hollow
Stage 11 Standard is the workhorse. Hollow drops weight by hollowing the axle and kingpin. Forged Hollow goes further with a forged hanger that's lighter again and stronger under impact. Sizing: 129 for 7.6 to 8.0, 139 for 8.0 to 8.3, 149 for 8.3 to 8.6, 159 for 8.6+.
