UV off water burns through clouds

Plenty of people get caught out because the sun is not shining, not realising that UV reflects off the sea and catches the underside of your chin and the back of your neck. Reef-safe zinc stays on through a two-hour session, which normal high street sunscreen absolutely does not.

Winter face, summer face, always lips

Cold offshore wind and salt water do a number on skin between October and March. Barrier creams keep wind burn off, after-sun sorts you out in July, and lip balm is the one thing everyone forgets until their bottom lip splits.
