Surf essentials, the stuff you always need
For the first-kit buyer
If you have just bought a board and wetsuit, you still need a few things before you can actually surf: a leash sized to your board, fins (FCS or Futures, check your plugs), wax in the right temperature for UK water (cool or cold most of the year), and a bar of something to keep your feet on the deck. Grab a fin key while you are at it, they vanish instantly.
For the experienced surfer restocking
Sticky Bumps and Sex Wax in bulk, Creatures of Leisure leashes and traction, FCS II and Futures replacement fins, wetsuit shampoo for when your suit smells like a skip, and changing robes for car park decency. Trip down to Pembrokeshire or up to Cornwall, worth checking your leash string before you leave.

We are five minutes from Rest Bay, so if you have snapped a leash or lost a fin on the way down, chances are we can sort you out before the tide turns. Most of this stuff is cheap individually and ruinous to forget, so it is worth keeping a small box in the car with spare wax, a fin key and a spare leash.
